For Excel2DWG to create output files, its add-in module has to be added to Excel.
Important: If you have file extensions turned off (the ridiculous Windows default) you will need to right-click the files to make sure you are selecting the correct XLA/XLAM file.
Office 2010-2013:
- Open the Office application.
- Click the File tab in the top left.
- In the bottom left, choose the button.
- Choose the tab on the left.
- Make sure the lower left popdown says and choose the button.
- Choose the button.
- Navigate to the Excel2DWG folder.
- Choose the Excel2DWG.xlam file.
- If prompted to copy the file to a user folder, choose No.
- Make sure there is a checkmark on Excel2DWG, then choose .
Office 2007:
- Open the Office application.
- Click the round Office button in the top left.
- In the bottom right, choose the button.
- Choose the tab on the left.
- Make sure the lower left popdown says and choose the button.
- Choose the button.
- Navigate to the Excel2DWG folder.
- Choose the Excel2DWG.xlam file.
- If prompted to copy the file to a user folder, choose No.
- Make sure there is a checkmark on Excel2DWG, then choose .
Office 2000-2003:
- Open the Office application.
- On the Tools menu, click Add-Ins.
- Choose the button.
- Navigate to the Excel2DWG folder.
- Choose the Excel2DWG.xla file.
- If prompted to copy the file to a user folder, choose No.
- Make sure there is a checkmark on Excel2DWG, then choose .
