Draws daylight figure and optional projection lines at a specified slope to a selected surface.
Keyboard Command: FigDrwDay
- Cut: Specify the cut slope. You can enter a percentage using only a real number, like 25.0. You enter a ratio like 4:1 to achieve the same (colon required). You can also enter an angle like 14.0° (degree symbol required).
- Fill: Specify the fill slope using the same rules as above.
- Densify: Specify a distance between points to densify the source path. Projection lines are not drawn on these points but it can help the resulting figure conform to the requested slope.
- Override: Normally this tool will evaluate the starting point of the projection to determine if it's above or below ground. If it's below it projects up, if it's above it projects down. By using an override you can force it to always project in the direction you specify.
- Projections: Controls whether the tool draws the projection lines from source object to target (created) object.
Procedure:
- Open the drawing containing the source figure.
- Initialize this tool using the menu, ribbon or command above.
- Designate desired parameters such as cut/fill slopes.
- Pick the figure and pick a side to continue.
Notes:
- The surface must already exist in the drawing before this tool begins.
- You can enter a degree sign at any time by holding the Alt key while entering 248 on the 10-key pad of a PC keyboard.
