Automated Hookup Procedure
When this add-on application is installed (assuming your CAD engine is/was not running at the time), it will add hookup information to the supported CAD platform version. All you have to do is install the application and re-start your CAD application and the menu/ribbon should appear and commands should work.
Manual Hookup Procedure
In the event the installation was not successful or you are otherwise seeing messages such as Unknown Command, the procedure below can be followed to manually set up the application. For your Platform listed below:
- Launch your CAD Platform application.
- Issue the NETLOAD command and browse to its cited Folder location (expand the following items for details).

- Based on your version of CAD, load the appropriate Module (DLL) file.
- If the application menu/ribbon was not added to the CAD user interface:
- Issue the CUILOAD command.
Note: If there is an instance of the application already listed within the CUI interface, it might be a previous version and you can remove it.
- Browse to the cited Folder location.
- Load the cited Menu file(s).
- Issue the CUILOAD command.
- Issue the ABOUTMAPWORKS (AboutMapWorks) (or ABOUTC3DTOOLS or ABOUTBCSTOOLS, respectively) command to confirm the application is functioning normally. A restart of the CAD application should continue to load the specified DLL file.
Note: If the application fails to respond, some other influence is likely at work. Carlson Knowledgebase article 1428 should be followed with the results being sent to dotsoft_support@carlsonsw.com:

IntelliCAD Notes:
- Due to variances of IntelliCAD builds (from different OEMS), we cannot currently automatically hook on for all applications. You may need to use the Manual Hookup procedure above.
- An IntelliCAD build might have the Microsoft .NET Framework support turned off. In the event the NETLOAD command fails, issue the DOTNETENABLED command and enter ON. You will then need to close the CAD engine and restart it.
