Image Change Resolution

Change (lower) the resolution of a selection set of image while maintaining size and position.

Keyboard Command: ImgChgRes

Procedure:

1. Open the drawing containing the images.
2. Initiate this tool from the menu, ribbon or command above.
3. Select the images to process.
4. Specify the percent of existing resolution to keep.

Notes:

• The percent entered determines the resolution of the resulting image. For example if the original is 1000x1000 and 50% is used, the resulting image is 500x500.
• The original file is retained, the resized bitmap is stored in the same folder with the same name, with the percentage appended.
• This tool is limited to the image types supported by the .NET Framework. In other words some image types like JP2, SID are not supported.
