Inserts multiple world images (based on world files) and create world files.
Keyboard Command: ImgWldCmd
- Drawings: Makes a new DWG for each image file selected with the image referenced in the drawing. This allows users to simply xref or insert the dwg file. The dwg file will be created in the same folder as the world file and will not prompt before overwriting files of the same name. Requires the same image/world file combination as the insert function.
- Insert: Inserts multiple images into model space based on accompanying world files.
- Initiate this tool.
- Choose images to insert.
- Click the button to begin placement.
During placement the application will look for an accompanying world file in the images folder, having the same name but an appropriate world file extension. If a world file is found, the image is inserted at the proper coordinates and rotation as determined by the world file.
- Make: Makes world files from selected images in the drawing. Simply select images to process.
Note: World files will be automatically be written to the image folder. In the event the world file already exists, it will be renamed to .BAK and a new file created.
- Tiles: Inserts labeled rectangles representing the extents of images. Allows the user to determine which image(s) need to be inserted without the data burden and slowness on large images (or quantities of small ones).
