Breaks linear geometry (including polylines) and removes duplicate segments. Closed polylines with overlapping sides may be useful for simple CAD operations, but this scenario makes editing more difficult and is not efficient. This tool explodes polylines, breaks all geometry where they intersect and removes duplicate vectors. The results are more suitable for Parcel creation and GIS oriented operations.
Keyboard Command: ParBrkAll
Procedure:
- Open the drawing containing the geometry to process.
- Initiate this tool.
- Select all the polylines, lines and arcs that form the boundaries.
Notes:
- This process makes numerous changes that (once the drawing is saved and closed) are not reversible. Consider making a backup copy of the drawing or wblocking the geometry to be processed in the event you wish to return to the previous state.
