Point Convert Layers

Converts Nodal Objects (Point, Circle) along with annotation on layers to system points.

Keyboard Command: PntCnvLay

Procedure:

1. Open the drawing containing the objects to convert.
2. Issue this command from the menu, ribbon, or command above.
3. Select one node object such as a point or circle.
4. Optionally select one annotation object for the point numbers.
5. Optionally select one annotation object for the elevations.
6. Optionally select one annotation object for the descriptions.
7. Specify the maximum distance the annotation objects can be away from the node.
8. Select all the objects to process, or type all.

Notes:

• On the last step above, the layers help filter objects so that (for instance) annotations on other layers are ignored.
• Objects must be on separate layers, including one (each) for nodes, point numbers, elevations and descriptions.
• The selection of an object for nodes is required.  However, the remaining selection of number, elevations and descriptions are optional. If omitted, the tool will use the next highest point number, zero elevation or blank description.
