Section Sample Lines

Creates sample lines along an alignment at user specified intervals. The results are lightweight polylines with three vertices at elevation zero.

Keyboard Command: SecSmpLin

Procedure:

1. Open or create a drawing containing an alignments.
2. Initiate this tool from the menu, ribbon or command above.
3. Select the alignment from the dropdown list.
4. Designate the section series to use.
5. Specify the begin, ending station and interval.
6. Specify other options as desired.
7. Click the Add (+) button to add the range.
8. Optionally repeat at step 5.
9. Click OK to begin processing.

Notes:

• Do not manually modify the polyline generated by stretching vertices as it will distort the section.
• The B button (if checked) adds the begin station, the E button adds the ending station.
