Determines contours up to spill point and creates a polycontour group ready for volume table or graphs.
Keyboard Command: SurPndSpl
Procedure:
- Open the drawing containing the surface to evaluate.
- Initiate this tool from the menu, ribbon or command above.
- Change any default parameter shown in command area.
- Pick two points to define a rectangle that should contain the depression low point.
- Pick a desired depression center or press enter to accept the found point.
Settings:
- Interval: The contour interval to use as elevations raise.
- Project: The distance to use for spillway projections.
- Densify: The distance to densify the brim contour for inspecting projection vectors.
- Report: Determines whether a report is displayed after processing.
Notes:
- This tool evaluates all source surface points inside the rectangle to determine the best low point.
- The highest elevation obtained before contours open up is displayed at the command area.
- This tool evaluates the outer direction at each vertex and draws pointers on those that slope down.
