This tool uses a MassPoints Compressed Tin Database (*.MPZ) to quickly create, export, and update surfaces. It is important to remember that (because of special indexing) the current drawing and the coordinate system used when creating the MPZ file must match.
Keyboard Command: SurQueDbs
- Bounds: Draws a rectangle and label to show the extents of the Tin Database. This is recommended to insure that windows selected in the remaining tools are contained within it.
- Export: Exports a surface to an external file covering the selected rectangle.
- Grid: Adds a GridSurface to the current drawing covering the selected rectangle.
- Tin: Adds a TinSurface to the current drawing covering the selected rectangle.
- Update: Updates the bounding extents or (in the case of a GridSurface) the cell size. If more than one surface exists, select the surface, the MPZ filename will be obtained from it's description.
