EPA SWMM Surface

Generates surfaces from Z-values in EPS SWMM Report file.

Keyboard Command: EpaSwmSur

Procedure:

1. Click the ... button to select a SWMM Input file (*.inp). At this time point contents are filled in at the bottom grid (no elevation).
2. Click the ... button to select a SWMM Report file (*.rpt). At this time report contents should appear in the middle.
3. Use the Report Section dropdown to choose a section. At this time the report scrolls to the selected section. Use the adjacent scroll bar to scroll down more in an aid to specifying the begin/length parameters.
4. Specify the starting character position in the Begin field. If in doubt specify one less, especially if elevations may cross over from 999.# to 1000.#.
5. Specify the number of characters in the length field, if in doubt add one, since spaces will will be trimmed before the elevation value is determined.
6. Click the Process button to extract the elevations which will now appear in the point grid at the bottom.
7. Confirm the desired surface name, and click the OK button at the bottom to begin creating the surface.
