Attribute Evaluation

This tool does a numeric evaluation on selected blocks. It floats on the AutoCAD screen until closed.

Keyboard Command: BlkAttEva

Each section of the dialog is described below.

• Copy Button: Copies the contents of the grid to the clipboard, ready to paste into other applications like Microsoft Excel.
• Field Toggles: You can control the visibility of the count, sum, average, minimum, and maximum columns.
• By Block: You can control whether the list is subtotaled by the block name. If the toggle is off, attribute values reflect all selected blocks even if they differ.
• Decimals: Use the spin control to set the desired number of decimal places.

Procedure:

1. Execute the command to show the dialog.
2. Set desired options.
3. Select the block inserts to consider by picking.

Notes:

• Hold the shift key to deselect while picking.
• Press the ESC key to completely clear the selection.
