Block Bounding Mask hides/removes geometry under block inserts. The routine provides for several methods of masking.
Keyboard Command: BlkBndMsk
- 2dsolid: Places a 2DSOLID of color 254 under the insert. On most plotters this will mask with white or ultra-light gray.
- 3dface: Places a 3DFace behind the object. When used with the HIDE option while plotting, can mask the geometry.
- Trim: Trims all geometry crossing into the blocks bounding rectangle.
- MaskImg: Masks using ToolPac's MaskImg, a masking image.
- Wipeout: If your version of AutoCAD supports wipeouts, this option is available and places a wipeout object below the block insert. If wipeout support is not available, the prompt will not have this choice.
The second prompt (absent if trimming) lets you determine whether the masking object is tied to the insert with an anonymous group. This allows you to move the mask whenever you move the block without having to remember to select it.
The final prompt (absent if trimming) lets you determine whether the mask is a bounding box or shrinkwrap.
