Block Modify Convert to Xref

Converts a selected block definition in the drawing to an xref overlay, and updates all insertions of the block in the current drawing.

Keyboard Command: BlkCnvXrf

When prompted to select the block type to change, you can simply pick one instance of the block in the drawing, or press D for a dialog showing all blocks defined in the drawing.

You will be prompted with an option to write the block definition to file. If you choose Yes (the default) you will prompted to save the block definition to a drawing file, and that drawing (created) will be used as the xref drawing. If you choose N at the prompt, you will be asked to select an existing drawing to use for the xref.

Note: As xrefs do not support attributes, changing block inserts to xrefs will remove all attributes.
