Convert Text to Mtext (Multiple)

This tool can totally automate the process of converting numerous logical paragraphs of text to mtext objects. This eliminates the necessity to repeatedly process one paragraph at a time with standard tools.

Keyboard Command: CnvTxtMmu.htm

The routine will simply prompt you to include line breaks and to select objects. If you take the default of Y, the routine will place line break codes after each line and the text will retain its current appearance. Note that the interline spacing and overall height in the MTEXT object may vary from that in the stack of text objects. This in inherent in the MTEXT process and you would see the same difference if entered directly in AutoCAD and compared. However, if you answer N to the prompt, the lines will appear concatenated in the mtext object and will form a flowing paragraph.

The routine uses this rule in determining the logical chunks of text. If there is no gap (equal to an empty line) between a line of text and another line below it, they are considered to be a part of the same paragraph.
