Draw Text Outline

Draws the outline of (entered) truetype text as polylines or a 3dSolid.

Keyboard Command: DrwTxtOut

Procedure:

1. Select the desired font and style at the top.
2. Pick (or enter) the insertion point.
3. Enter the desired height in decimal units.
4. Optionally preview the results.
5. Click OK to generate the results and close the dialog.

Notes:

• The size is in AutoCAD units and is based on the height of a capital letter "H" with no ascenders or descenders (like "g").
• The insertion point is the upper left corner of the results. It accounts for tall characters like "(" so your results may fall slightly below this point.
• The resolution value corresponds to typical font sizes (recommended values are 10-144). Lower numbers produce less points but can look segmented.
