Draw Label Incrementing

This function produces labels that increment with each pick. Numbers and letters are supported, as well as several surrounding symbol options.

Keyboard Command: DrwLabInc

Procedure:

1. Choose Label Incrementing from the Draw/Label flyout.
2. Pick middle position for label. Text will be middle justified at that point and it will also be used as the center of the circle or polygon.
3. Continue picking points as desired. See notes below on other options.

Notes:

• If you would like to make changes in the way the labels appear, press S for settings. The dialog show above will appear allowing you to make changes. Once the dialog is closed, the prompting will continue with these new settings.
• If you need to skip numbers or reset the counter at any time during the repetitive last step, press V for Value. You will be prompted to enter the new default value, and prompting for picks will continue.
• If you want to label a selection set of objects at their centroid, choose O for objects.
• If you would like to create a grid of annotations, choose A for Array.
