Drawing Rename File

Renames or copies files based on specified content such as title block attribute or DwgProps fields.

Keyboard Command: DwgRenFil

Procedure:

1. Consider creating a backup copy of all files you plan to process.
2. Use the Add Files button or other method to select the files to process.
3. Choose a source method (block attribute or drawing properties).
4. Choose a target method (copy to folder is safest).
5. Click OK to begin processing.

Notes:

• Upon completion, this tool will display an HTM based report in your browser of the results.
• The Scan Dwgs button can take a minute to collect the candidate names, but can increase accuracy.
• Use extra caution when using the Rename in Original Folder option.
