Drawing Rename Layout

Rename layouts in multiple drawings based on a (title) block attribute.

Keyboard Command: DwgRenLyo

Procedure:

1. Consider creating a backup copy of all files you plan to process.
2. Use the Add Files button or other method to select the files to process.
3. Click the Scan Dwgs button to populate the drop down fields.
4. Choose a block name from the block drop down.
5. Choose an attribute tag from the attribute drop down.
6. Designate other fields as desired.
7. Click OK to begin processing.

Notes:

• The Scan Dwgs button can take a minute to collect the candidate names, but can increase accuracy.
• The 'Save As' field should be left at 'Current' to maintain drawing previews.
• Use extra caution when turning off the Backup Existing Drawing option.
