Automated Hookup Procedure

When this add-on application is installed (assuming your CAD engine was not running) it added hookup information to the supported versions. All you have to do is start your CAD application and the ribbon should appear and commands should work.

Manual Hookup Procedure

1. Start your supported CAD application.
2. Issue the NETLOAD command.
3. Browse to the installed folder, the default is:
   • 64-bit: C:\Program Files\DotSoft\ToolPac
   • 32-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\DotSoft\ToolPac
4. Choose the appropriate DLL for your CAD version from the table above.

IntelliCAD Notes:

1. An IntelliCAD build might have the Microsoft .NET Framework support turned off. In the event the NETLOAD command fails, issue the DOTNETENABLED command and enter ON. You will then need to close the CAD engine and restart it.
2. There are changes currently being implemented to the interface of IntelliCAD. At this time the icons may not appear in the ribbon or menu areas. To drive the application you may need to issue the MENUBAR command and enter a 1 to turn it on. This will be corrected with future versions.

Other Notes:

• AutoCAD 2014+ Trusted Locations: The new version of AutoCAD adds security which requires an additional procedure during manual setup.
  1. Launch AutoCAD 2014+.
  2. Issue the OPTIONS command.
  3. If you have multiple profiles, set your desired profile current.
     1. Click the [Profiles] tab.
     2. Select the profile from the list.
     3. Click the Set Current button.
  4. Click the [Files] tab.
  5. Click the + to the left of Trusted Locations.
  6. Click the Add button.
  7. Click the Browse button.
  8. Navigate to the application folder and click OK.
  9. If you receive an alert (about Read-Only), click Continue.
  10. Click OK to close the Options dialog.
• Folder: Because a single install of the application can serve both 32- and 64-bit environments, it installs (by default) to the Program Files (x86) folder.

Check for Updates:

ToolPac has a 'Check For Updates' tool that can be found in the programs group under the Windows Start button. It can check the internet for updates and patches to bring your system up to date. You should use this periodically to make sure your installation is up to date with the latest revisions.
