Hatch Add Multiple

AutoCAD's hatch commands do a fine job of hatching boundaries. However a limitation occurs when you have numerous closed objects to hatch. The behavior of the hatch is to create a single object fill for all the selected objects. Occasionally this may be desirable. However, usually you will prefer to have each object hatched individually for convenience of erasing individual objects with their respective hatches.

Keyboard Command: HatAddMul

Simply issue this command, specify the hatch parameters, and the objects to hatch. As an added advantage, this tool will also automatically float the hatch boundary over top of the newly created hatch. Especially useful when using a solid fill hatch.
