Layer Join by Picking

The By Picking routine can be used to combine layers when objects from both (source & destination) layers are visible on the screen and it is preferable to identify the layers by picking on one of its objects. The program first will prompt you to select an object on the destination layer, extracting the layer name attribute as the target layer.

Keyboard Command: LayTblJoi

Next you will be repeatedly prompted to select an object on a layer to join. Picking an object will cause all objects on that layer to be moved to the target layer, being redrawn in the new properties of the target layer. Continue to pick objects on as many layers as desired. Press enter to end the command.
