Polyline 3DPolyline Offset

AutoCAD's OFFSET command will not offset 3D polylines, to compound the issue, users typically need to specify a vertical offset along with the standard horizontal offset. This tool will allow to offset 3D polylines and specify the vertical offset in the process.

Keyboard Command: PlnOfs3dp

Procedure:

1. Issue the Offset command from the polyline/3Dpoly flyout.
2. Specify the horizontal distance to offset.
3. Specify the vertical distance to offset, or press enter for no vertical offset.
4. Select the 3D polyline to offset.
5. Pick a point on the side of the 3D polyline to offset.
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 until you have created all offsets with these parameters, press enter at the select polyline prompt to end.

To create more offsets with different parameters, simply restart the command by pressing enter at the command prompt.
