Polyline 3DPolyline Proportional Slant

This tool allows you to assign the elevation of all the intermediate points along a polyline by specifying the endpoints. This tool requires an open 3D polyline. If you have a 2D polyline that you wish to slant, simply use ToolPac's 2D to 3D conversion first. If you have a closed 3D polyline, simply open it, perform the slant, then close it again.

Keyboard Command: PlnPrpSla

Procedure:

  1. Issue the Proportional Slant command from the polyline/3Dpoly flyout.
  2. Select a single open 3D polyline to process.
  3. Specify the elevation of the beginning point. A temporary marker will be displayed for verification.
  4. Specify the elevation of the ending point. A temporary marker will be displayed for verification.

Reminder, all vertices between the beginning and end point will have their elevation changed to a value that is proportional to its distance along the polyline.
