Breaks up long polylines by specifying number of vertices per new segment. In certain mapping situations such as GIS, extremely long polylines can contain several thousand vertices. Polyline modification on these can be extremely slow while in this state. By breaking up the polyline into several smaller ones, these pieces can be edited rapidly, and then rejoined when all editing is complete.
