Polyline Auto Connect

The Auto Connect routine can instantly connect hundreds of points to form a polyline. Objects to be auto connected can be an AutoCAD point object or any block insert. The function works on the nearest found principal.

Keyboard Command: PlnConAut

Procedure:

1. Issue the Auto Connect command from the polyline flyout.
2. Specify whether to create a 3D polyline if the elevation varies. If you choose no, a 2D polyline will be used to connect the points.
3. Specify whether to close the polyline upon completion.
4. Select POINTS and INSERTS with any method. Order of selection does not matter.
5. Pick near the starting point. If the figure has a logical end, you should pick near the end.
