About PD Grade™
PD Grade (PDGrade) is a Carlson Machine Control product currently being used to assist in light pile driving work such as solar farms. PDGrade assists operators with machine guidance and industry exclusive automations to ensure that piles are consistently spaced and hammered to the correct depth. A series of X's on the screen marks piles in the plan.
- White X: Undriven pile
- Green X: Driven pile within tolerance
- Red X: Driven pile outside tolerance
- Yellow X: Next pile to be driven
Note: The option to include a large target taking up most of the right-side of the screen is available.
A target on the top right guides the operator to the correct location. The dotted line on the left shows the vehicle's azimuth, turning red when off-course and green when aligned to help ensures that piles are driven in a straight line.
A Northing and Easting offset as well as total distance from the target is given and the target begins spinning when the operator is within a chosen tolerance of the target (also, a "hammer" symbol appears on the large target).
