Command Surfaces
Choose what and how surfaces are displayed on the Surface Map. For 2D this refers mostly to what color map is loaded. For 3D this refers to what 3D surface is displayed, as well as if any colors are used. All surfaces shown in this menu will be converted from the original format to a Carlson .BGRD format. This stands for “binary grid” and is an efficient and optimized version of a grid file that can be updated quickly “on-the-fly.”
Display:
- Actions - Import, create or manipulate surfaces in Command.
- Cut/Full - The Cut/Fill Color map is a display of the existing surface created by Productivity Tools compared against a design surface. Often this is shown as green for "On Grade," red for "Needs Cut," or blue for "Needs fill." It can also be displayed as progressive cut/fill. This might be gray for "no change," red for "cut" and blue for "fill" since the initial surface. This option can be used in 3D and 2D.
- Live Surfaces- Access the surfaces created by the machine's positions. The available options are: Current, historical and Deflection.
- Design - Display static uploaded surfaces such as engineered designs.
- Work Perimeters - Display the work perimeters created in Landfill Grade.
- Decks/Slopes - Simple field designs created by Carlson Grade on the machines.
- Carlson Photo Capture - Display surfaces shared from integration with Carlson Photo Capture.
