Start a New Protools Run
Select "Add New Base Grid" and select a starting surface. Starting surfaces should be the actual conditions of the area to be updated. This information can come from a survey like a fly over, drone surface, or a NULL grid. A NULL grid just means a surface with no values. It is a blank slate for the machines to update. Any of these surfaces must be uploaded or created in Carlson Command before this step. Got to Command->Surfaces to upload or create a NULL surface.
After selection set a start date for the for the grid. This start date should be at the time or after the time machines started collecting data on site. A surface from before Carlson began collecting data will create a gap that creates inaccuracies in the surface.
Do this for as many surfaces as are needed for the site.
Press "Start Service" to begin the Protools calculations.
The Protools icon spins while data is being processed.
Delete surfaces using the red X icon to the right.
