SurvPC Esri will automatically recognize an Esri engine if one is already installed on the PC.
ArcGIS On-line
For ArcGIS On-line use, sign into ArcGIS using your established credentials to confirm you have properly configured your ArcGIS account on the PC. These will be the same login credentials you will supply in the 64-bit version of SurvPC 7 and later.
ArcGIS Legacy Engine Installation
From an already registered 32-bit version of SurvPC 6 and later, configure SurvPC for the desired ArcGIS version 10.1 or higher engine:
- Access the About SurvPC command and access its Helmet control in the upper left of the dialog box and select its Esri ArcGIS… option to expose the Manage Esri ArcGIS Use dialog box:
- Specify the desired ArcGIS engine to use with SurvPC:
- Use installed Esri ArcGIS Engine: If the user has a copy of the ArcGIS Engine and corresponding license, select this option.
- Use installed Esri ArcGIS Desktop License: If the user has a copy of the ArcGIS Desktop and corresponding license, select this option. It may be the user's organization has an agreement with the Esri EULA, use this option if this is the case.
- Use Carlson Esri OEM License: If the user prefers to use Carlson's OEM License for the Esri ArcGIS Engine, select this option:
- Esri Version: Specify the Esri run-time engine version that has been purchased.
- Download and Install: Use this option to get the desired version of the Esri OEM engine.
- Register: Use this option to properly register the Carlson Esri OEM engine and click OK when ready:
- Complete the remaining portion of the Registration process.
