The Stakeout command permits the field location of a BIM data set. Surveyors can select elements within the model (e.g. walls, columns, pipes, etc) and the software provides the necessary coordinates to guide the layout and construction of those elements in the real world. The routine begins by launching the standard File Selector that permits one of the following data sources to be specified:
- RVT - Opens a specified Revit® file.
- IFC - Opens a specified Industry Foundation Class file.
Once a BIM model is loaded, it will display with much of the same interface and functionality as discussed in the Visualize command.
Note: Found within Stakeout are several standard Map Screen View Controls.
Note: While viewing the model, tapping a point on the model permits the point location to be staked.
Tap the Stake button to begin the measurement process.
Within Stakeout are these measurement/configuration tools:

Store: Stores the current reading as a point. The functionality of this routine is governed (in part) by the General - Enter Key setting.
Stop: This cancels the measurements and allows a new BIM point to be specified.

Directs the user to the Total Station Orientation interface.
Launches the GNSS Monitor/Skyplot command. |
An additional control that is available is a "birds-eye" vs "3rd-person" view of the model being staked:
