Cable

Cable locators can be used to detect underground cable conduit and/or pipe locations.

Currently supported cable location devices are:

• C.Scope
• Simulator (educational purposes only)

Activating a Cable Locator

To activate the cable locator, follow these steps:

1. Turn on the cable locator.
2. Access the Cable tab, as shown above.
3. Check the Active option and select the type of cable locator you are using.
4. Tap the Comm Setup button to establish communication parameters.
   • For a cabled-communication cable locator, plug in your cable locator to any of your device's COM ports. To load the default settings for the cable locator you specified, select the Default button. However, you may still need to set your COM port number manually.
   • For a Bluetooth-capable cable locator, refer to the Bluetooth Connection Step-by-Step guide.
5. Tap ✅ to initiate the communications with the cable locator.
6. Tap ✅ to begin using the cable locator.
