Draw Centerline will temporarily preview the selected centerline and show its direction of increasing stations to the Map Screen.
The routine begins by launching the standard File Selector that permits a centerline file of interest to be specified which is subsequently shown:
Station values for the current alignment are also shown.
Note: Within the Draw Centerline screen is a Green Right Arrow that will preview other centerline files found in the same folder as the selected centerline. Additionally, other common controls; most notably the various Map Screen View Controls.
The program will automatically "zoom" to the extent of the centerline. If there are point numbers and polylines on the screen in that area, they will appear as well.
Note: This command temporarily displays the centerline for reference and does not commit it to the drawing. To actually draw the centerline as a permanent feature (unless erased later), use the Tools → Centerline → Draw CL to Map command.
