Hinged Area

The Hinged Area command will report the area of a closed polygon and allow you to set it to a new size by pivoting the selected side about its selected corner point.

Options

1. -Select polyline Graphically select the side of the polygon that will undergo a rotation.
2. -Select hinged point>endp Indicate which end of the side will serve as the hinge point.
3. -Keep existing pline Yes/<No>? Indicate whether or not to keep the source polyline.
4. [Area reported] Indicate a desired size for the polygon and press Enter.

   Note: Area values other than the primary Job Units can be supplied as discussed in Input Box Controls.
