The Bearing & 3D Distance command reports the angles and distances (both horizontal and vertical) between two coordinates.
Options
-pointsOnpline/Segment/<Points>
Indicate the method by which the coordinates will be specified:- pointsOnpline: Specify this option to pick any two locations on a polyline. Prompting changes to:
First point on polyline
A nearest snap is enabled permitting a quick graphical pick anywhere along the polyline.Second point on polyline
Pick a second point along the polyline.
- Segment: Specify this option to graphically select the segment of a polyline. Prompting changes to:

Graphically pick a polyline on the screen.
- Points: Use this option to specify a pair of
Pick first point or point ID
Specify a coordinate via an available Entity Snaps or indicate an existing point ID (number).Pick second point or point ID
Indicate a second coordinate.
- pointsOnpline: Specify this option to pick any two locations on a polyline. Prompting changes to:

Press Enter to display the results which are summarized in a dialog box:
- Save Report: (button) Launches the standard File Selector that permits you to save the information to an external text file.
Note: During the selection process, you can access other common controls; most notably the various Map Screen View Controls.
