The Align Building - One Segment command is a building application allowing adjustment of a building pad location in the field. Consider the following example:
- P1 - P2: Front property line.
- B1 - B2: Building front line.
- L1: Side lot line.
- L2: Side building line.
The prompts below will vary based on the Align Settings and consist of:
-Pick Segment Near Front Corner
Graphically select the polyline whose direction governs (commonly the lot line). Example: Pick L1 near P2. The line will thicken and the nearest endpoint will be marked.-Pick Pline Segment Near Front Corner
Graphically select the polyline whose direction shall orient to the first selection (commonly the building line). Example: Pick L2 near B2. The line will thicken and the nearest endpoint will be marked.(First) Offset>Crt<[Calculated Offset]>/<[First Offset]>
The offset from B2 to L1 is calculated. Type in a new desired offset or press Enter to accept the First Offset.- The next prompt will vary slightly:
- Method 1 - Offset/Distance:
Distance>Crt<[Calculated Distance]>/<[First Distance]>
The distance from B2 along L1 to P2 is calculated. Type in a new desired distance or press Enter to accept the First Distance. - Method 2 - Offset/Offset:
Second Off>Crt<[Calculated Offset]>/<[Second Offset]>
The distance from B2 to to P2-P1 is calculated. Type in a new desired offset or press Enter to accept the Second Offset.
- Method 1 - Offset/Distance:
Mirror/Undo/<End>
Indicate a desired action:- Mirror: Mirrors the building polyline using L2 as the mirror line.
- Undo: Reverts the modifications to initial conditions.
- End: Commits the change and exits the routine.
