Align Building - One Segment

The Align Building - One Segment command is a building application allowing adjustment of a building pad location in the field. Consider the following example:

The prompts below will vary based on the Align Settings and consist of:

  1. -Pick Segment Near Front Corner Graphically select the polyline whose direction governs (commonly the lot line). Example: Pick L1 near P2. The line will thicken and the nearest endpoint will be marked.
  2. -Pick Pline Segment Near Front Corner Graphically select the polyline whose direction shall orient to the first selection (commonly the building line). Example: Pick L2 near B2. The line will thicken and the nearest endpoint will be marked.
  3. (First) Offset>Crt<[Calculated Offset]>/<[First Offset]> The offset from B2 to L1 is calculated. Type in a new desired offset or press Enter to accept the First Offset.
  4. The next prompt will vary slightly:
    • Method 1 - Offset/Distance: Distance>Crt<[Calculated Distance]>/<[First Distance]> The distance from B2 along L1 to P2 is calculated. Type in a new desired distance or press Enter to accept the First Distance.
    • Method 2 - Offset/Offset: Second Off>Crt<[Calculated Offset]>/<[Second Offset]> The distance from B2 to to P2-P1 is calculated. Type in a new desired offset or press Enter to accept the Second Offset.
  5. Mirror/Undo/<End> Indicate a desired action:
    • Mirror: Mirrors the building polyline using L2 as the mirror line.
    • Undo: Reverts the modifications to initial conditions.
    • End: Commits the change and exits the routine.
