The Join command allows you to combine multiple 2D polyline entities into a single entity, even if there are gaps between endpoints. Prompts consist of:
-Dist [separation distance]/Selected plines> [count]
Indicate how the arc(s) is (are) to be created.- Dist: Indicate the maximum allowable gap between polyline endpoints that can be joined.
Note: A distance value of 0 requires that different polylines share common endpoints.
- Selected plines: Individually or crossing-select polylines that are to be joined.
- Dist: Indicate the maximum allowable gap between polyline endpoints that can be joined.
Note: A common benefit for joining polylines together is that they can then be offset as a unit.
Note: For 3D Polyline geometry, the Tools - Convert Polylines to 2D command can be used to flatten the 3D geometry.
