The Preferences command provides the ability to customize interaction with the Map Screen.
- Settings: (gears) Indicate the preference of how Point Attributes should be structured when Exporting .DXF or Exporting .DWG files.

- Scale Text/Blocks: Indicate a preferred scale factor to increase or decrease the size for the cited entities.
- Rows Text Spacing: Indicate how much space should be placed between exported GIS attributes.
- Elevation Text Precision: Indicate how many decimal places should be shown for point elevations.
- Carlson blocks type SRVPNO: Indicate the preferred Carlson Survey point Attribute Layout ID.
- Graphic Screen: For better visual acuity in different light environments, indicate your preference of the Map background color:
- Normal: A white background is shown, commonly used in bright daylight conditions.
- Reverse: A black background is shown, commonly used in dark or low-light conditions.
- One Tap Zoom: When enabled, a single tap to the Map Screen - Status Bar (next to the Battery will initiate a dialog box where a zoom scale or magnification amount can be set.
Note: This is commonly used in conjunction with Scale Bar on Top.
- Sticky OSNAPs: When enabled, an activated Snap will remain active for the duration of the command unless changed.
- Sketch Option: When enabled, the Tangent snap option is replaced with a None (? or sketch) option which permits randomly picked locations on the screen. Additional commands will be available and designated by (Sketch) labels.
Note: Caution is urged with this feature as the location of sketched entities may not carry the desired accuracy that is commonly required with surveying/construction projects.
- Max VRes: When enabled, arcs and circles will appear more circular but may take longer to draw.
