The Layer command manages layers and their properties. Layers are a way to organize objects in a drawing by separating them into categories.

- Current Layer/Color: Summarized at the top of the dialog box is the current (or active) layer and color.
- Color: Clicking on the color bar will bring up the color palette allowing you to set or change the layer color of the highlighted layer.

Color Picker Dialog Note: All colors will render as-is except Color 7 which is based on the Graphic Screen setting:
- Graphic Screen - Normal (White), Color 7 renders Black.
- Graphic Screen - Reverse (Black), Color 7 renders White.
- On/Off: Toggles the visibility of the currently selected layer. Objects on layers that are On will be visible; objects on layers that are Off are not visible.
Note: This can also be controlled via the Check Box associated with each layer.
- Web Map Overlays: Provides a short-cut to the Web Map Overlays functionality.
- On all: This button will turn on all layers.
- Off all: This button will turn off all layers except the Current layer.
- Current: Makes the currently selected layer the Current layer.
Note: Unless overridden by a Feature Code instruction or command-specific layer instruction, all newly drawn entities will be placed onto the Current layer.
- Reverse: When enabled, the Graphic Screen setting will be set to Reverse.
- Images: When enabled, any placed Image Overlays will appear in the map.
- Delete: Removes the currently selected layer from the layer list.
Note: You cannot delete layers that contain objects.
- New: Type in a desired layer name and set its desired color and tap New to generate the layer.
Note: Use the Job Settings - Use Template DXF option to pre-populate desired layers into every New Job.
Note: If Reference Drawings (XREFs) have been attached, the Layer Manager dialog interface changes slightly to permit access to the XREFs.
Layer Manager While Using Esri®
When a job is configured as an Esri-job, a specialized version of the Layer dialog box is presented:

- Show All: This button will show all Esri features.
- Hide All: This button will hide all Esri features.
- Assign Code: This button will display a specialized version of the Add/Edit Feature Code that permits the Esri feature to be assigned to the specified code.
- On/Off: Toggles the visibility of the currently selected feature. Features that are On will be visible; features that are Off are not visible.
Note: This can also be controlled via the Check Box associated with each feature.
