The View Options command allows you to change the way the graphical items will be displayed in both the Map Screen and active measurement commands.
Graphics tab
- Freeze/Thaw All: This will toggle the visibility of the point attributes (e.g. Point ID, Elevation and Description). Each attribute can also be toggled separately.
- Set Attribute Colors: This button will allow users to specify the colors of the point text (color units only).
More Information
Note: When the Preferences - Normal option is set, Color 7 will display Black.
- Font Size: Points can be small (default setting) or large and bold for easier readability.
- Use Decimal as Pt Loc: This will adjust the text location so that the point location is the decimal point of the elevation. It applies if the "dot" symbol is used.
- Use Symbols From FCL: This will allow symbols loaded in a Feature Code List to be used.
- UCS Icon: This shows the N/E icon on the graphic screen, for orientation.
Note: The following options appear only when in active survey mode (e.g. Store Points, Stake Points, etc):
- Only Display Last Stored Point (Alt+F): When enabled, only the most recent point will appear in the display.
- Auto Zoom: When enabled, the display of the map will be governed by the location of the most recent measurement.
- Draw Tail: This will augment the triangle icon to have a tail. The tail indicates direction and can assist in orientating a direction of travel (e.g. travel parallel to an existing line).
- Scale Bar: This shows the Scale Bar on the graphic screen, for use if preferred.
Data tab
- Intelligent Zoom: When enabled and when selecting points From Map in commands such as Inverse or Stake Points, the Intelligent Zoom option allows you to pick the point from the screen in a condensed area of points, and the program will auto-zoom allowing you to pick again and obtain the precise point that you want. If Intelligent Zoom is off, you would instead see a list of points and must pick from the list (or return to the Map screen and zoom in closer using the Zoom + or Zoom Window options).
- GIS Inspector: When enabled, allows instant access to GIS attributes stored with point or polyline features in the Map screen.
Note: To access the attributes of a polygon, click anywhere inside the polygon.
- Trav/Inv/RadStk Defaults: Launches the Traverse, Inverse, Radial Stakeout Defaults command.
Display tab
- Map: Select the orientation of the Cartesian coordinates display system that best defines your data.
