Note: The steps below do not necessarily require an active Internet connection.
Commonly used by students or for those who wish to quickly explore the compatibility of their PC tablet with SurvPC, a serial number is not required. Upon starting a non-serialized version of SurvPC, the following will appear:
- Enter SurvPC Serial Number: If you wish to operate in a 15-point demo mode, do not supply a serial number:
Specify SurvPC Serial Number Tap Exit to continue.
- Registration Details: SurvPC will attempt to validate any registration information and without a serial number, will throw an error alert:
SurvPC Registration Error Tap ❌ to continue.
- Failed to Initialize Registration: SurvPC will provide an alert indicating that its attempt to register failed:
Failed to Initialize Registration Tap OK to continue.
- 15-point limit mode: SurvPC will summarize that it has configured itself for the 15-point limit mode:
15-Point Limit Mode Tap OK to continue.
Note: While in the 15-point limit demo mode:
- all optional equipment drivers and modules (e.g. Road, BIM, Hybrid+, etc) will operate, and,
- for jobs with 15 or fewer points, raw measurements and point data will be recorded until the 15-point limit is reached, or,
- for existing jobs with 16 or more points, SurvPC will only expose the first 15 points of the job and no other data can be added to the job.
- all data will be restored for full use once a serial number has been supplied and registered.
