SurvPC operates under one of three license configurations:
- 15-point limit demo mode (non-serialized)
- 30-day evaluation mode (serialized)
- Full Use registration mode from one of two scenarios:
- Initial registration from a fresh installation
- Reconfiguration registration of a serialized (Evaluation or Full Use) installation
Full Registration Mode
Note: The term "Full Use" as described herein relates to the functionality of the purchased component(s) of SurvPC.
Note: The steps below do not necessarily require an active Internet connection but one is suggested.
To register the SurvPC product, follow the steps below:
- If needed, the registration process can also be set through the File - About SurvPC command and its Change Registration button.
- Enter SurvPC Serial Number: Specify the purchased serial number into the Serial Number field:
Enter SurvPC Serial Number Note: The serial number is not case-sensitive but does require the dash (-) separators.
Tap OK to continue.
- Registration Method: Indicate the method for how the Change Key will be provided to the software:
Specify Registation Method Tap Next > to continue.
- Install Information: Indicate the reason for the registration (subject to the terms of the End User License Agreement):
Install Information Tap Next > to continue.
- User Information: Supply the proper end-user credentials:
User Information Tap Next > to continue.
- Authorize: With an active Internet connection, the proper Change Key should get delivered to the software after a momentary pause:
Authorization Tap OK to continue.
Note: If an active Internet connection is not available, SurvPC will generate alternate methods to complete the registration process which will ultimately result in a Change Key that can be manually entered into the software.
Note: Proper registration of the SurvPC serial number provides the following benefits:
- Access to periodic updates to the SurvPC product
- Access to periodic new version upgrades to the SurvPC product
- The ability to potentially recover the software serial number in the event of theft or loss
