The user can switch between current instruments using the Instrument Selection flyout located by the battery status indicator of SurvPC:
- Total Station: Initiates a communication attempt with the last configured conventional/robotic total station.
- GPS Base: Initiates a communication attempt with the last configured GNSS Base Station.
- GPS Rover: Initiates a communication attempt with the last configured GNSS Rover.
- Hybrid+: Prompts if you would like to configure Hybrid+ using a procedural wizard that permits simultaneous Robotic Total Station and GPS Rover measurements.
- Manual Total Station: Configures SurvPC to accept hand-entered data as if a conventional total station is/was being used but not connected electronically to the controller/tablet PC.
- GPS Simulator: (for educational purposes only) Configures SurvPC to emulate the latitude/longitude/ellipsoidal elevation data that typically comes from a connected GNSS Rover. The position and effects of the GPS Simulator can be specified under GPS Utilities.
