After successful installation, the following toolbar will appear inside Excel. This toolbar is necessary to set defaults and add ranges. Clerical users and others not related to the CAD processes do not need to use the toolbar and it can be turned off. However, the application does need to be loaded (appropriate licenses acquired) for the updating of the created DWG/DXF files.

Creating Ranges:
The application creates and uses Named Ranges, an integral part of Excel for referring to areas by name.

- Select the rectangular area of interest in Excel.
- Choose the Create Range button, the dialog above will appear.
- You can modify the default name as desired.
- Choose the button to create the named range.
Notes:
- The default range names generated are based on the workbook name plus the sheet name. If you have multiple ranges on a single sheet you should append a unique identifier.
- The named ranges create can be modified or deleted if necessary using Excel or the Excel2DWG Range Manager.
