Imports changes made to properties exported using the bulk export tool.
Keyboard Command: XL2CADTPI
Procedure:
- Inside Excel make changes as desired to the spreadsheet created by the bulk export tool. Use care not to change content in red letters, especially do not change the first column (Handle). Also, do not change the name in the first (header) row as it will prevent the program from finding the properties.
- Inside CAD open the drawing used to create the spreadsheet. This will have corresponding objects matching the handles in the spreadsheet.
- With the data spreadsheet open and active, choose the property bulk import tool from the menu, ribbon, or command above. When the import is finished the command prompt will report the number of objects manipulated along with the total properties changed.
Notes:
- You can save the spreadsheet at any time and reload it later for additional changes or importing.
- During import, cells that do not appear to be changed are ignored. The tool only updates double precision numbers that vary by more than (5) decimal places (0.00001 or more).
