This command allows you to select a supported instrument manufacturer and supported instrument model for use with SurvPC.

Note: In addition to list of supported equipment is also a Manual Total Station option that permits data to be hand-entered.

• Manufacturer: Indicate the manufacturer of the equipment you wish to work with.
• i: (Information) Click this button to retrieve available firmware settings for the currently selected Manufacturer/Model.

  Note: This information can be particularly helpful for technical support troubleshooting.

• Model: Indicate the model or closest model series you wish to work with.

• Load: This button will permit the loading of a previously saved equipment profile.

  The source of the equipment profile to load can come from one of two locations:

  1. Load: (Selected Profile). Loads the selected equipment profile as stored within SurvPC.
  2. Load from File: Launches the standard File Selector dialog box where a previously saved equipment configuration file can be loaded.
• Save: This button will save the current settings to a named equipment profile.

  • Create New Configuration: Provide a user-friendly profile name for the equipment profile.
  • Set as default configuration: When enabled, the equipment profile will become the default over other named equipment profiles.
  • Export as shareable file: When enabled, the standard File Selector dialog box will be launched where the configuration settings can be saved to a named file.
• Delete: This button will remove the currently selected equipment profile. Prior to removal, you will be prompted to confirm the deletion process.
• Defaults: When clicked, the currently selected equipment profile will be restored back to SurvPC-suggested default values and a back-up of the settings will be saved to the profile list.

Note: It is recommended to go left to right through the tabs, from Current to Comms to Settings to Search, to ensure that all settings are correct, especially when first configuring a new instrument.
